Summer is waning and back-to-school season is just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean you have to put away your flip-flops just yet. With the kids heading back to school, it is time to revel in the last days of warmth and open sunshine by setting aside some MY Time (#SelfLove!). Time for you to recharge and refresh!
In addition to booking your LaVida Massage + Skincare–here are seven ways you can take advantage of an awesome August that’s all about you:
Check out the farmer’s market.
Watermelon, blackberries, corn, peaches and tomatillos (salsa verde, anyone?) are just a few of the foods that are in their prime this month. Pick up a bushel and enjoy the healthy benefits they provide.
Embrace the outdoors.
Didn’t have a chance to go on a scenic bike ride or roast marshmallows over a campfire yet? It’s not too late! Get outside and enjoy!
Celebrate National Relaxation Day.
That’s right. It’s a national holiday. On August 15th, turn off your electronics (or at least silence them!), take an afternoon nap, or get a massage. We most certainly recommend all of the above!
Go on a mini-vacation.
It doesn’t have to be far or long, and you don’t have to plan extensively. Take a short trip somewhere driveable and explore for a day (or even a weekend if you’re feeling extra adventurous).
Chill out.
Go for a dip in the pool or relax in the shade while your kids make a splash. You might even want to try one of these refreshing summer beverages.
Stargaze.
Consult your local weather forecast for a clear night, spread some blankets out on the lawn, and look for your favorite constellations.
Have a picnic.
Pack a simple meal and set up in a nearby park, or even in your own backyard.
However you choose to embrace the close of the season, don’t forget to step back and take some much needed time for YOU–it can help you get in touch with your inner self, your interests, emotions and goals for a more fulfilling and enjoyable life.
